Major Lazer "Original Don" King Yoof v Gold Re-Lick
We love a good bootleg here at Future jungle blog, especially if its a collaboration between two of the heavyweights of the 140 jungle scene, Gold & Yoof who here take Major Lazer's 'Original Don' into 140 choppage territory and in my opinion super cedes the original track completely, injecting much needed 140 life into it, a nice 94 style jungle bassline assaults the senses throughout this remix of superior quality, 140 jungle just keeps getting better and better

Sub Slayers 016 - GOLD 'Neuro Funk EP'
Get ready for the next E.P to drop on Sub Slayers, straight outta Birmingham, U.K, Gold delivers a 4 tracker thats 24 carat!!! 'Herbsmoke', 'My Selector' and 'The Rhythm' are bass heavy skanking reggae style 140 jungle monsters, the latter 'The rhythm' has a 2 step garage kinda feel to it, similar to Deekline 'I don't smoke' and other tunes of that early Noughties electro breaks/2 step garage fusion sound, distinctive subs and a great wobbling bassline are the trademarks of these 3 while 'Knowledge Is Power' goes a little further down the electro breaks route whilst keeping the breakstep style, i was thinking how it would mix nicely into Reservoir Dogs 'Buddha Finger', it even features a dubstep style breakdown mid track, all tracks get a 10/10 from me, its little wonder the likes of Brockie and DJ Phantasy are feeling the sounds at Sub Slayers HQ, don't forget to catch head honcho Jay Cunning alongside Yoof every Friday 5-7pm on http://www.koollondon.com/ and check their website for previous releases, free mixes and tunes http://subslayers.tumblr.com/
