The 3rd artist album to feature on Boomsha Recordings is Schoco's 'Welcome To My Jungle' its due out on 19/05/2014 as a 2 week exclusive on Beatport, get it on the day of release here and it is a masterclass in the sound of Future Jungle, a rebuttal to those who claim that the sound is dead, beats as good as this don't die, its as simple as that, I'll repeat for emphasis,  THIS IS A MASTERCLASS IN FUTURE JUNGLE

We begin with the gentle sway and rolling breaks of the aptly titled 'Enter The Jungle', a perfect album opener and a great tune to start your DJ set, fans of beat mastery are in for a treat when the track builds to a crescendo midway splicing up breaks left right and centre, this sets the tone perfectly

Next up is 'My Weapons' featuring vocals from Daz Breakz and I'll say it right now, I said it when I played this on air recently, for me, this is right up there with my favourite Future Jungle track 'Psychotic Bleeps' by Sub Fusion, this track is menacing and sinister, it really could give you the creeps sitting alone in your room and I love it all the more for that fact, the eerie horror esque strings, pummeling layered breaks, the start stop sequences, this track epitomises dark claustrophobic paranoia, its awesome!!!!

'Rhythm' opens with a subtle beat that reminds me of Massive Attack's 'Teardrops' and builds subtly into a hypnotic and melodic groove, 'Dhyana' combines Schoco's beat mastery with a dubby ethnic sound, 'I Wanna Dance' is Schoco at his cinematic best with a towering trance like tune, 'My Love' is bleepy and majestic, 'Only A Dream' breaks out the 303s for some acid soaked breakology, one of the darker numbers here with growling mentasms and another personal pick for this writer from this exceptionally good LP .

As the title suggests 'Towards The Sun' is from the ethereal side of Schoco's amazing musical mind, indeed it could be the soundtrack to one of those epic Sci Fi films of the late 70s and early 80's or a sprawling dessert odyssey, 'Solar Illusions' fuses tough techno stabs and and a powerful sense of atmosphere to the classic funky drummer break, 'Desert Jungle' combines guitar riffs, didgeridoos and warrior like crys with stripped back pads for the sounds of the desert, the rainforest & the outback rolled into some epic jungle breaks, Radioactive Watermelon makes an appearance for remix duties on 'Dhyana' for an amazing orchestral dubbed out reworking.

Really, there should be awards for an album of this caliber, you think this sound is dead? Take a listen to this magnus opus and prepare to eat some humble pie, for the 3rd time I'll say it because it needs to be said, this is an absolute masterpiece.

Schoco-This Is Love E.P-Digital Acetate

If you want to see how healthy any particular genre of music is, you judge it by the releases that are coming out, producers and labels. Since launching in 2012, Digital Acetate has been gold, the releases have been stunning and you can find the cream of the future jungle producers here too. Schoco is on fire right now and rightly so, I've had the pleasure of playing his damn fine tunage for approx 2 years now and it really does just get better all the time.

On to this fantastic E.P featuring 3 tracks and 3 remixes of those tracks: 

1.'All I Want' opens with a wonderful UKG/House meets 140 style intro, very familiar vocal, you'll know it when you hear it, lovely organ stabs take us into the drop before introducing some spine tingling pads, key changes are first class, tune is amazing.

2.'All I Want (Visible Sound Remix) takes the already great original and adds in a great skippy VS style beat and some fresh pads while retaining the key elements of the original, as a remix, its on a par with the original without a doubt and sells the whole E.P for me

3.'I Need You' is Schoco in his true ethereal style, the sounds build gently and slowly and send you into a trance, the melodys are haunting and will stick in your head.

4.'I Need You (Time Travel's Deeper Love remix) is Time Travel at his best with lovely switches between a skippy break and the classic funky drummer, melodic late night vibes are the order of the day here, sheer quality

5.'You And Me' is just mind blowing, kicking off with an intro and a drop that's almost 3min long, the pads are classic 93 intelligent jungle through and through, you have to hear how good this really is.

6.You And Me (Aitch's VIP Treatment) gives this quality, stunning track a nice rolling feel, adds in plenty of sub bass and like the original, lets the sounds breathe and build 

So the bottom line is go and spend some money on this top notch release, have a listen to the clips below, get prepared to be blown away and have your wallet to hand and indulge yourself in some of the finest 140/future jungle around....

A couple of popular definitions of 'Epic' include:

1.Noting or pertaining to a long poetic composition.

2.Of unusually great size or extent: a crime wave of epic proportions.

Dan Schoco has made a Jungle breaks tune that truly is Epic in every sense of the word, weighing in at just under 13min, this slowly builds and builds into an epic melody that almost glides along the bassline and breaks, this is the kind of tune you could open a set with to really get a crowd going, theres elements of so many genres here and yes, I know, I'm a major culprit for name tagging everything but I couldn't help thinking that this is a merging of prog breaks and jungle breaks which is a great thing.
