Essential Tunes Round Up 17.6.13

Been a bit slack with the posts lately, heres a round up of what you need to spending your hard earned cash on.....

 

Curious is the don! For soulful future jungle flavours, look no further than this bad boy, sweet vocal 140 shizzle fo yo speakers, booooom!!!!!

 

The output on Rinse Repeat just keeps getting better, in my humble opinion, this is the finest to date from the quality imprint, classic jungle vibes at 140bpm, check out 'Bakerloo Grind' too, serious heaviness!!!

 

Breakbeat Hardcore NuSkool vibes from Sunny on RSR Reloaded, a tasty retake on a couple of 90's anthems, check the E.P too for some banging 94 style hardcore!

 

Simply amazing female vocal led, deep, melodic future jungle, this will blow you away, its that good!!!!

 

Pursuit continues to smash it with another prime time 92 hardcore beats of a tune, you want chopped up breaks with some old skool ravey bleeps and bass? You got it!!!!

 

And we finish with this, one of my faves of 2013, capturing the vibe and raw energy of the 94 jungle sound perfectly with Krome & Time style pads, it doesn't get much bigger than this, if you're a true junglist, you need this!!!!

The Journey ranks among my all time favourite rave anthems of the 90's, a massively uplifting piano hardcore classic that epitomises the 93/94 era of breakbeat hardcore, following on from Pt 2 released in 1996 is Pt 3 with 6 mixes to choose from in varying genres, we favour Harmonee's faithful remix and the original by Ramos & A.J with Deanne on vocals while the Piano Junkies also turn in a great remix and we have remixes by Jakka B,Birchy and a DnB mix by Audiophunk leaving something for everyone and absolutely no excuses for you not to go and buy this great tune!!!

Ramos & Birchy - Bass In Your Face/(Disrupta & Mystery Remix)-RSR Reloaded

Fans of old skool young and old alike will know RSR, the label and production trio that spawned countless classics going all the way back to the early 90's such as 'Gotta Believe', 'Crowd Control', 'The Journey', 'Knight Raver', 'Life Force Generator' & 'Terminator', if you haven't heard these classics, go look them up on you tube, its a must.

Moving to the present, we have a new label RSR Reloaded focusing on the sound of breakbeat hardcore in 2013 and beyond and to kick things off, we have a couple of belters in the shape of Ramos & Birchy-Bass In Your Face, a nuskool/breakbeat hardcore banger with huge uplifting pianos that I know I've heard on a big happy hardcore tune from back in the day, got me scratching my head for the ID!!! combined with tight chopped up breaks, hip hop vox, hoovers and filthy bass, this one's a winner!! On remix duties, Disrupta & Mystery turn the uplifting vibes up to +10 with a fine remix in their unique and in demand style. So, a welcome return to one of the greats, now go and buy!!!!
